Path to College

At First Tee - Metropolitan New York at Plainfield, golf instruction is a key part of the program, but educational opportunity has always been at the forefront. Beginning in 2009, PCC became the first private club in the country to establish a First Tee program - founded to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf, with a focus on serving minority and underprivileged youth.

The club has collectively raised over $1 million to date to support youth in need through our Path to College program that has grown to include not just college scholarships, but educational prep, STEM education and the innovative ACE Scholars program that helps kids get on the Path to College beginning in middle school. In doing so, it has set a national model for member engagement and with your help, we can continue to build on this proud tradition that has already made such a huge difference in the lives of thousands of underserved kids.
